Biography

Baesler is a Library Media Specialist for the Bismarck Public School District and Assistant Principal at Pioneer Elementary in Bismarck. She also has experience as a District Staff Developer in the Technology Department. Baesler was part of a team that wrote the BPS Library Media Scope and Sequence for grades 7-12 and Technology Scope and Sequence Grades K-6., both based on National Standards. She was heavily involved in the writing and implementing of the state’s first-ever Information Literacy and Technology Standards. She has worked in school libraries for over 19 years and works with numerous teachers helping them integrate information literacy and technology on a daily basis. She has been a mentor for the Valley City Library Media Specialist program and a finalist for the ND Library Media Specialist of the Year in 2008. Baesler lives in Mandan with her husband and three sons where she serves on the local school board and the public library board of trustees.
